On Wednesday morning we lost a great friend and member of the cattle industry, Chris Gestrich. The Gestrich family owned Stockridge Farms in Beloit, WI and as many people know the genetics provided by this program have been a major influence in the club calf business, raising bulls such as Master of Puppets, Monopoly, The Headliner, and All Aboard just to name a few. Outside the industry Chris was a great friend and always was a class act.
I know Chris is looking down on us today and as I write this I think of how I will miss one of my best friends in the cattle business, a friend that I truly trusted. I will miss the long talks we had about cattle, family and and friends. You were a true inspiration to me not only in the cattle business but as a person in general. You always stood up for what you believed in and your family values were above and beyond. Chris. you will be deeply missed by myself, my family, and friends.
